Diplomatic Quarter and Lazienki
In the 19th century smart carriages and riders eager to be seen thronged the aleje Ujazdowskie. Today the avenue is a favorite with Sunday strollers. It leads to the beautiful Łazienki Park and the white Pałac Łazienkowski (Łazienki Palace), the private residence of the last king of Poland. This is the greenest of all central Warsaw neighborhoods.
