Atlantis Resort, Bahamas! The Perfect Family Vacation after COVID-19!

Atlantis Resort Bahamas

Going on vacations and traveling around the world was once a routine for many of us but not after the COVID-19 came to our lives. As many hope to be able to travel again, it will not be easy to go back to what we were used to before the pandemic. If you are dreaming of spending a week on the beach, holding a cocktail, and reading your favorite book, while your kids play with the sand, let me share with you one of my dream places I had the chance to visit for my 30th birthday.

Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas is not a hotel, it is a destination.

Atlantis Paradise Island Resort is a beautiful beach resort with casino, countless restaurants and bars, water slides, spa, and excellent service provided by the warm and welcoming people in the Bahamas.

The resort is one of those places that, if you want to explore, you will need a map and a full day or maybe a week.

The ocean-themed resort was built on 154 acres, and it is enormous, offering a lot to explore, and I recommend spending at least three to five days there.

The accommodations range from moderately to very high priced, and there is an option for every budget, especially now with the limited travel options, there are many deals. If you are planning a family vacation, you might consider staying in the Coral Towers, which is the most centrally located tower at the resort. Coral Towers is the closest to the Predator Lagoon and the Lagoon Pool.

Atlantis resort offers different activities for guests of all ages, and I think for families, it will be one of the best options, as everyone will be satisfied and you will not hear complaints while on vacation. Some of the attractions you will find there are eleven pool areas, miles of sandy beaches, Neptune Water Toys Hut, offering access to water games and sports, and much more. If you enjoy water sports, this is probably the best place to be on the Bahamas island, as you can find water bikes, pedal boats, kayaks, snorkeling, etc. If you don’t like water sports, you can enjoy the beautiful aquariums, dolphin shows and many more.

Atlantis Resort is home to 21 restaurants, 19 bars & lounges, 11 swimming pools, a 20 million-gallon water park, an 18-hole golf course, and one of the largest casinos in the Caribbean.

If you travel with kids, the resort has to offer different programs for children, the Aqua Tots program is specially designed for children three years old and up, while the Discovery Channel Camp is for kids four years old and up. With the many activities and attractions, the resort has to offer, your kids will be busy for hours and hours, while you can take the time to enjoy a cocktail on the pool or go shopping in the many small boutiques around the resort.

A beach vacation at the Atlantis is something that your entire family will love and will want to come back to. I was lucky to spend my 30th birthday here with friends, enjoying the sun, sipping cocktails on the pool, and mastering the water slides. This is one of the best birthdays in my life, and I hope I will be able to visit again after all this madness is over.

According to the official website, the resort planned to reopen by the end of July, but lately, they decided to extend as the COVID is affecting the business, it is sad to see such a magical place with over 7500 employees to be closed. It is not too late to plan your vacation there, they have great offers, and I can ensure you that this vacation will be truly unforgettable for the whole family. If you decide to book, make sure you check my link that will open exclusive offers and extra credit to spend in the resort.

When the sunset, Atlantis Resort turns up the fun! Offering variety of bars and lounges, there’s always somewhere to experience the incredible nightlife of Paradise!

If you decide not to stay in the resort, but instead book your accommodation in Nassau on the main island, you can go there and visit for a day, as they sell day passes. There is good transportation from the main island, you can either go by bus, which is the long journey, or you can go by boat, which doesn’t take longer than 30-45 minutes. The boat ride cost if I remember correctly around 5-10$ and it will take you to the Marina with small stores. There you will find all kinds of souvenirs, t-shirts, magnets, etc. If you are crazy about collecting magnets like me and you can’t visit this magical place anytime soon, get a magnet from Amazon.
